Herdsman Wanted: Our registered 40 cow dairy near Chicago suburbs in Illinois seeks self-starting, responsible Herdsman. AI and mating experience of high type red and black and white Holstein genetics is preferred. Herdsman will work with Farm Manager to develop quality, marketable Holsteins with showing potential. Responsibilities include: milking, feeding, breeding, herd health management (all young stock, milking herd and transition cows), seasonal field work and general farm equipment maintenance.

Qualifications: Herd management and AI experience preferred. Prefer 2 years experience working on a dairy.

Housing can be included.
